      Mrs. Cecil C. Gould of Carp Lake died at Community Hospital last night at 6:45. She was a patient in the hospital for three weeks. She was born in Bliss township, Emmet County, June 25, 1886. She was married to George Gould in 1933. Her husband preceded her in death in 1944. Mrs. Gould was a Past Worthy Matron of the Mackinaw City Chapter No. 174, of the Order of Eastern Star. She was also a member of the Carp Lake Methodist Church, and the Ely Grange at Carp Lake. Survivors are one sister, Mrs. Katherine Schmalzried of Levering; two brothers, Samuel J. Carlton of Carp Lake, and George J. Carlton of Mackinaw City; and two step-daughters, Mrs. Bruce Nelson of Northport, and Mrs. Nathalie Seeley of Grand Rapids, besides other relatives. The body will lie in state at the Nordman Funeral Home tonight, and then will be taken to the home at Carp Lake tomorrow at 10 a.m. The remains will be at the Levering Methodist Church from noon Saturday until time of the service at 2 p.m. Rev. John Lockyer will officiate. Burial will be in the Carp Lake Cemetery.
