Bedient 65 Beverly St. Dalton, MA 01226 Undated clipping from the scrapbook of Georgia Pangborn: William Dale Robinson. Rev. William Dale Robinson was born in Vincennes, Indiana, November 25, 1882, to John and Emmarita Robinson. He was educated in the Vincennes public schools and at DePauw University. He joined the Michigan Conference in 1908, where he served for nearly 40 years. In 1911 he married Anna Schmalzried of Levering, Michigan. They had five children; Glendale, who is with the First Marine Air Wing in Korea; Malcolm, of Hastings, Michigan; Richard of Eaton Rapids, Michigan; and Elizabeth (Mrs.) George Randall) of Waverly, Ohio. A son Billy died in infancy. He leaves ten grandchildren. In 1948, because of failing health, he retired and moved to Hastings, where he and Mrs. Robinson lived for five years. In January, 1954 they moved to Eaton Rapids to be near their son Richard. He died in their apartment on Saturday, August 21, 1954. The funeral service was held in the Eaton Rapids Methodist Church with Rev. Ralph Witmer, pastor, officiating. Rev. William H. Helrigel gave the sermon and Rev. Maylan Jones, of Lansing, spoke briefly of the life of the deceased. Organ music was furnished by Mrs. Gerald Gillett. The body was laid to rest in Rosewood Cemetery of Eaton Rapids. Casket bearers were members of the Delton Methodist Church, including their pastor, Rev. Martin McIntarfer. Mr. Robinson served the following churches: Northport, Levering, Burr Oak, Galesburg, Middleton, Parma, Middleville, Marcellus, Breckenridge, Elsie, Coleman, Reed City, Hubbardston, and Delton.
