BARBARA A. SANDERS
Health care aide
Barbara A. Sanders, 72, of Dunbar Road, Philmont, passed away on April 22, 2005 at her residence.
She was born Dec. 30, 1932 in Claverack, the daughter of the late Andrew F. and Barbara E. (Stark) Hughes.
She was employed as a Health Care Aide during her days of employment at the Pine Haven Nursing Home, in Philmont, and she also worked for various other health care agencies. She was also employed by the Columbia-Greene Senior Companion Program. She also loved to travel.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Papas.
Survivors include her two daughters, Janice V. Sanders of Philmont, and Brenda Barber of Ghent; three sons, John Sanders of Catskill, Thomas Sanders of Copake, and Kenneth Sanders of Vermont; grandchildren, Jessica Sanders of Saratoga Springs, Clairetta and Betina Stutzman of Ghent, Robert, Eloise and Hannah Lachance of Philmont, Katlyne Sierra Sanders of Rutland, VT; great-granddaughter Deanna Jo Sanders of Saratoga Springs; and her sisters, Isabel Hoar, Violet Wright, and Minnie Gambocorta.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend calling hours at the Valenti and Richards Funeral Home, 700 Town Hall Drive, Hudson, on Sunday, April 24, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 25, 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Harrison Putnam, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will follow in the family plot of the Mellenville Cemetery, Mellenville.

Minnie Warn Stark Hughes Gambacorta 85 of Philmont passed away Monday in Mohawk, N.Y. Mrs. Gambacorta born November 7,1927 in Hudson, N.Y. is the daughter of the late Andrew and Barbara Stark Hughes. She graduated from Philmont High School. She was united in marriage to the late Lorenzo V. Gambacorta (2000) on May 14,1950 and for whom were married for 50 years. Minnie was a farmer first and later employed at the Universal Match Corp., Charter Supply and Pine Haven Nursing home. She was a Boy Scout leader and Girl Scout leader from the late 60's until early 80's. Mrs. Gambacorta is survived by 3 Sons, Lorenzo Gambacorta, David Gambacorta and Paul Gambacorta, 2 Daughters Stephanie Perkins and Suzanne Gambacorta. She is survived by 2 sisters, Violet Wright of Cazenovia,N.Y. and Isabel Hoar of Bolton,Ct. She is also survived by 8 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. Besides her husband she was predeceased by sisters Elizabeth Papas and Barbara Ann Sanders. Funeral Services will be held Friday 10:00am from the Wenk Funeral Home Chatham.
