RHODES-Thomas Fleming Rhodes, passed away unexpectedly on September 13, 2007 at age 63. He was a resident at the Terraces at Park Marino. Born in Pasadena, California, the son of the late Elizabeth Fleming Rhodes and Kenneth Olney Rhodes, Tom graduated from Polytechnic School and attended Whittier College for three years. Residing in the Pasadena community for most of his life, Tom was active for many years as a volunteer at Friends Outside, the American Cancer Society, I Can, and other local charities. He was an active member of the congregation at All Saints Episcopal Church and for many years an avid bowler. Though faced with a number of physical and medical challenges throughout his lifetime, Tom remained a gentle, kind, fri endly soul with a wonderfully engaging laugh that will remembered for years to come by anyone who had the good fortune to know him. Tom is survived by his brothers Richard and Ted, his sister Margaret, and seven nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial service celebrating his life on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at 10 AM at All Saints Episcopal Church, 132 N. Euclid Ave. in Pasadena. Donations in Tom's name can be made to Friends Outside, American Cancer Society, All Saints Episcopal Church or to your ow n favorite charity.
