BROOKSVILLE, Fla. -- The funeral of Catherine Rita Hoar, 69, of Picketts Court, Brooksville, Fla., and Meriden, Conn., wife of Thomas Hoar was held on Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at 10:45 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., and at 11:30 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Church. The Rev.
Edmund S. Nadolny celebrated a Mass of Christian burial and officiated at the committal service in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Kevin Tidmarch, grandson; Martin Young, James Johnston and Kevin Johnston, nephews; Chris Tidmarsh and Jimmy O'Donnell, sons-in-law.

PICKETTS CT., Fla. -- Catherine Rita Hoar, 69, of Picketts Ct., Fla., and Meriden, wife of Thomas Hoar, died Saturday, March 18, 2000, at MidState Medical Center, Meriden.
Born in New York, N.Y., on April 7, 1930, she was the daughter of the late John and Anne (Screene) Johnston and had resided in Meriden for the past four years. She was educated in New York City schools and had been employed by ConEdison of New York until her retirement in 1993. She was a parishioner of St.
Stanislaus Church, Meriden.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Anne and James O'Donnell of Sayville, N.Y., and Jean and Thomas Tidmarsh, with whom she made her home in Meriden; one son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Mary Hoar of Massapequa, L.I.; eight grandchildren, Alanna, Kathryn, Maggie and Matthew O'Donnell, Kevin and Michael Tidmarsh, and Grace and Monica Hoar; three sisters, Mary Della Croce of Toms River, N.J., Ann Kershis of Melville, N.Y., and Theresa Young of Dix Hills, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson, Colin Tidmarsh; a sister, Delia Simpson; and a brother, James Johnston.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home and at St. Stanislaus Church at a time to be announced in Monday's Record-Journal. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
