PAID OBITUARIES
Lester F.
Martin, age 88, passed away at Conestoga View Monday, Feb. 27, 2006.
Formerly of Gap, he was the husband of the late Sara Evans Kern Martin, who passed away in 1992, and the late Helen Booth Martin, who passed away in 1976.
Born in Gordonville, he was the son of the late Oliver Futer and Lena Martin.
He was a member of Calvary Monument Bible Church.
He was a carpenter for most of his life working with the Philadelphia Carpenters Union retiring in 1979.
He was a member of the Carpenters Union and an avid trapper and hunter.
Surviving is a son, Lester F.
Martin Jr. of Paradise; two stepsons: Harold E., husband of Etta Jean Hershey Kern of Bethel Park, and Robert E., husband of Jean Hoar Kern of Wilmington, Del.; three grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; five step-greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Yvonne R. Umble.

Yvonne R. Umble, 60, of Gap, died Monday at Brandywine Hospital, Coatesville, after a brief illness.
Mrs. Umble worked at Burger King, Rockvale Square.
She attended Calvary Monument Bible Church, Paradise.
She enjoyed the mountains.
Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Lester F. Martin of Lancaster and the late Helen Booth Martin. She was the stepdaughter of the late Sara Evans Kern Martin.
She was married to Emanuel Umble Jr.
Surviving in addition to her husband and father are two sons, Michael L., at home, and Lester E., married to Michelle E. McComsey Umble of Kinzers; a daughter, Michelle R. Clark of Paradise; three grandchildren; a brother, Lester F. Martin Jr. of Paradise; and two stepbrothers, Harold E., married to Etta Jean Hershey Kern of Bethel Park, and Robert E., married to Jean Hoar Kern of Wilmington, Del
