      Wilma Horr, 92
      Wilma L. "Billie" Horr, 92, of Portsmouth [Ohio], died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, at Hill View Assisted Living.
      She was preceded in death by husband, Wells Crawford, Jr.
      Surviving are husband, William "Bill" Horr.
      Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at F. C. Daehler Mortuary in Portsmouth.

      Deceased Name: Charles B. Wakefield Sr.
      Charles B. Wakefield Sr., 87, loving husband and father and friend, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2011 at home surrounded by his family.
      He was born on December 9, 1923 in Portsmouth, Ohio, the 5th child of the late Don H. and Alice (White) Wakefield.
      Charlie graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1943 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy on January 25, 1943 during WWII. During his service he was a Radio Man, 3rd Class with the Pacific Fleet and earned an associate degree in electrical engineering from Northwestern University. He was honorably discharged after three years of service. Charlie then returned to Ohio where he was a life long resident of Scioto County.
      He was employed at his father's coal company, Wheeling Steel Corporation, and finally Martin Marietta (Good Year Atomic Corporation) where he retired in 1994 after 43 years of dutiful service.
      Charlie was a member of the American Legion Post 23, United Commercial Travelers, and Elks Country Club. He was a devoted Catholic and member of St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church.
      Charlie was preceded in death by his father, Don H.
      Wakefield; mother Alice M.
      (White) Wakefield; first wife, Wanda (Gilliand) Wakefield; three sisters, Donati Gorman, Varina Tracy Brooks, Wilma (Billie) Crawford Horr; one brother Don Wakefield Jr.; and niece Carolyn (Kay) Corbin.
      He is survived by his wife of 44 years Mary Ann (Duplain) Wakefield; children Michele Wakefield, Julie (Wakefield) Kennedy, Brent Wakefield, Erin (Wakefield) Stevens; sonin-law Gregory Stevens, mother-in-law Alma Duplain; sister-in-law Margaret (Duplain) July; brother-in-law Thomas July; grandchildren Whitnie Wakefield, Allison and Bryson Keeney, Jack and Nathan Kennedy, nephews Gregory and Jeffrey July, James Tracy, Jr. and niece Donna (Crawford) Wheat.
      Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2011 at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church with Father Joseph Yokum officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park.
      Visitation will be Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at F.C.
      Daehler Mortuary Company in Portsmouth, where Recitation of Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday.
      Military graveside services will be conducted by the Honor Detail of James Dickey Post 23.
