Deceased Name: Wilma E. Abbott
Wilma E. Abbott, 86, Eugene, a former Klamath Falls resident, died Feb. 18, 2001, of natural causes in Eugene. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at West Lawn Funeral Home in Eugene. Entombment will be in West Lawn Memorial Park in Eugene.
Mrs. Abbott was born June 10, 1914, in Klamath Falls to Deloss and Estelle (Oneil) Barnett. She was a high school graduate. She married Gilbert Abbott on Dec. 3, 1932, in Hillsboro. She formerly lived in Coos Bay for 31 years. While there, she owned Gibbs Trailer Services. Mrs. Abbott enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, running her business, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Eastern Star Chapter in North Bend and the Business and Professional Women of Coos Bay.
Survivors include her daughters, Wilma Krusmark of Klamath Falls and Carol Shaw of Eugene; son, John Abbott of Springfield; brothers, Eugene Barnett of Aloha and Wilfred Barnett of Hillsboro; sister, Melva Hoar of Yakima, Wash.; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on March 11, 1984, and a son, Norman Abbott in 1937.
