The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock on Friday afternoon, April 1, at the home. Rev . O. T. T. ARMSTRONG will officiate. Interment will be at Caroline Center. He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Ann C. SNOW of Caroline Center. Mr. CLARK was born and had always lived in Caroline Center and waswell-known through-out th e county. FUNERAL SERVICES FOR ROBERT CLARK HELD IN CAROLINE - Clipping hand-dated 1927 Caroline Centre, April 4 - The funeral of Robert Charles CLARK, 78, who dropped dead at this home here March 29, was held from his last homeFriday, April 1, Rev. O. H. P. ARMSTRONG officiating. Burial was in thefamily plot at Caroline Center. Mr. CLARK was born in Caroline Center June 14, 1848, the only son of Calvin and Sarah Eliza FITCH CLARK. When the son was 15 years old his father died (of Typhoid fever), in the same hous e in which his son died last Tuesday. Mrs. Calvin CLARK and three children, after the death of the husband and father, bought what was known as the PATCH farm, on which Robert CLARK lived for 50 years. Desiring to retire from active farming, Mr. CLARK sold the farm and bought a home in the village, the home of his father 50 years ago and also the childhood home of Mrs. Robert CLARK, her father James H. SNOW, having built the house. Mr. CLARK is survived by his widow , a sister, Mrs. Frank A. SNOW; four nephews, Lamont CLARK SNOW of Caroline Center, Arthur Taft SNOW of Trumansburg, Leon and Charles OLMSTEAD of Montana. Among those from out of town to attend the funeral were M. J. Clark and Miss E. E. Clark, Newa rk Valley; Mr. and Mrs. SMITH WILCOX, Richford; Mr.and Mrs. Arthur T. SNOW, Robert and Hele n SNOW, Trumansburg; Edith E.SNOW, Elmira; C. B. (Lad) Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Luther Manor at the age of 87 years. He was born July 27, 1925 in Saginaw to the late John and Hazel (Clark) Andrews. He served with the U. S. Marine Corps during WWII. He married Alice Bennett on April 7, 1951; she survives him. He had been employed as a truck driver by Mulvena Truck Line and later Jones Transfer. He was a member of the Catholic faith. Surviving besides his wife are two sons and one daughter, James (Martha) Andrews, Joel Andrews, and Janet Turner, all of Saginaw; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Jeri Andrews; and six brothers and sisters. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Ronald Wagner will officiate with entombment to follow in Eastlawn Mausoleum. Friends may call at the chapel from 2:00 ? 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 ? 8:00 p.m. Tuesday. Her maiden name was misspelled in her obituary in yesterday's Eagle. PITTSFIELD -- Brenda Dorothea Blake, 64, of 17 Kenwood St., died Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at home. Born in Pittsfield on March 8, 1943, daughter of Joseph E. and Esther Donnelly Hoard, she was a 1960 graduate of St. Joseph Central High School. She earned an associate's degree in dental hygiene from Hudson Valley Community College in 1964. She was a lifelong resident of Pittsfield. Mrs. Blake retired from Pittsfield Public Schools as secretary with 25 years of service. She had also been employed by Pittsfield Elementary Schools, administering the fluoride program known as the "swish and spit" program. Throughout her career, she had been employed by various area dental practices. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and enjoyed traveling, the beach, gardening and reading. She and her husband, James W. Blake were married Oct. 12, 1964, in Sacred Heart Church. Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Shannon M. Steinman of Pittsfield and Megan M. Brandall of Billerica; two sons, Joseph E. Blake of Birmingham, Mich., and Matthew J. Blake of Indianapolis; a sister, Patricia Ostaski of Swampscott; and seven grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Brenda Dorothea Blake, who died Tuesday, April 17, 2007, will be held Saturday at 10:15 a.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church by the Rev. James K. Joyce, pastor. Burial will follow at Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 4 to 7 p.m. At Brenda's request, In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be made to Sacred Heart Church or the Pittsfield Boys' and Girls' Club in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield.
