Obituary:
FRAVEL Katie H. Fravel, age 81, of Columbus, died Thursday, February 24, 2000 at Mayfair Village Nursing Home. She was retired from Ohio Department of Transportation following 15 years of service. She was the widow of Lee Howard Fravel, who died in November 1987. She is survived by her son, Jack H. Fravel, Columbus; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Richard Danzey, Sunman, IN., Frances and Ted Lane, Sarasota, FL.; sister, Sally Cohen, Idaho Falls, ID.; niece, Dolores Whiting, Dublin, OH. Katie attended Boulevard Presbyterian Church. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28, 2000 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road, where friends may call from 12 Noon Monday until time of service. Rev. Janice Hilkerbaumer officiating. Interment Riverside Cemetery. Those who wish may contribute to Vista Care Hospice, 92 Northwoods Blvd. Columbus, Ohio 43235 in her memory.

Mrs. Beulah Virginia "Jerry" Hoar Miller, 95, formerly a longtime Brunswick resident, and more recently of Frederick, died on Sunday evening, Feb. 6, 2005, at Heartfields at Frederick.
She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Miller, who preceded her in death on Dec. 28, 1987.
Born on June 24, 1909, in Brunswick, she was a daughter of the late James William and Gertie M. Merryman Hoar.
She was the oldest surviving member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Brunswick, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 79, Frederick.
Surviving is her nephew, Harold Taylor and wife Shirley of Frederick; niece, Sylvia K. Gay of Long Beach, Calif.; and nephew, Wade Reed Jr. of Pennsylvania; as well as numerous grandnieces, a grandnephew and great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers and a sister.
Friends called at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick, on Tuesday evening, Feb. 8 from 7 to 9 p.m. The service will be on Wednesday morning, Feb. 9 at 10 a.m. in the Etchison Memorial Chapel at the funeral home. Her pastor, the Rev. Andrea J. Ernst, will officiate.
Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her church, Bethany Lutheran Church, 109 First Ave., Brunswick, MD 21716; or to Hospice of Frederick County, P.O. Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702.

Obituary:
Virginia Mae Dunovan Hoard 1924 ~ 2004 ?Virginia Hoard returned peacefully to her Heavenly Father September 25, 2004. She was born May 13, 1924 to Winfield James Dunovan and Lillian Henritta Anderson, Wilmington, CA. She married Homer Stearns Hoard, Sr. January 1, 1947. Their family was sealed for time and eternity May 13, 1959 in the Los Angeles Temple. Virginia moved to Utah in 1981 to be near her children. Virginia loved her family and was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy was found in serving her family. She leaves a great legacy of selfless love and compassion. Virginia always had a hand to hold and a hug to give, she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer; and daughter, Alice. Virginia is survived by children, Jay Hoard (Patsy), Sharon Simpson (Lee), Homer Hoard, Jr. (Joyce), Marisue Worthen; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and sister, Alice. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 28, at Lake Hills Memorial Estates, 10055 South State Street, Draper, Utah. Directors, Independent Funeral Service.

Obituary:
Voncille Jean Dirks, 57, of Hillsboro died Monday at Hillsboro Community Hospital. She was born Jan. 25, 1955, in Hutchinson to Leonard and Voncille (Johnson) Goering.

She worked in at Hillsboro Community Hospital. She married Norman Dirks on April 12, 1986, in Hillsboro.

She is survived by her husband, Norman of Hillsboro; and two brothers, Thomas of Pretty Prairie and Russell of Mustang, Okla.

Services are scheduled for Friday at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church in Hillsboro with Pastor Steve Schroeder officiating. Burial will be Friday in Gnadenau Cemetery, rural Hillsboro. Family visitation on Thursday at Jost Funeral Home, Hillsboro.

Memorials to Parkview Church or Union Rescue Mission.

Obituary:
Janet L (Gannon) McDonald, 79, of Mechanicsburg passed away Saturday, September 15, 2012, surrounded by her family. She was born April 27, 1933, in Mechanicsburg, the daughter of Pierce and Christine (Moody) Gannon. Janet was a 1951 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School. She married Kenneth McDonald on November 23, 1957, in Springfield. Janet retired from Mercy Medical Center and was a member of the Mechanicsburg United Methodist Church and Caroline Chapter #39 Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her daughter, Kristine (Tom) Allbright of Mechanicsburg; son, Michael McDonald, also of Mechanicsburg; grandchildren Adam & Abigail Allbright; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; special friend, Pearl "Buck" Davis; as well as many close special friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sisters, Florence Maxwell and Ruth Ann Lemons, and her brothers, Paul (Rosemary) Gannon and Edwin (Jane) Gannon.
A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, September 20, 2012, in the Mechanicsburg United Methodist Church with Rev Dr Harley Roston and Pastor Lorraine Zimmerman officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Eastern Star services will be offered by Caroline Chapter 39 at the start of the memorial service. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.

Obituary:
Ruth Adelia Mickels is the only daughter of Robinson Harris Bayley and Helen "Nellie" Stonebraker Bayley. She is the oldest of their four children. Her brothers include Reginald Harris Bayley, Waverly Wayne Bayley, and Basillph R Bayley. She married David Peter Mickels on December 22, 1919 in Deschutes County, Oregon. The couple have seven children:
Dorothy E Mickels, Evelyn Frances Mickels, Richard D Mickels, Phyllis L Mickels, Patricia K Mickels, Margaret Mary Mickels, and Kenneth Mickels.

Ruth is dearly loved and missed by all her family! She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. Her family extends to the hundreds and yet during her life she would remember each and every person with a card on their birthday! The cards would always be signed "oodles & oodles of love." "Oodles and oodles of love" is what Ruth had for all of her family and what all of her family will always have for her!

Family notes: "Calvin Clark, Sr. was born in Lisle, Broome County, NY.He settled in the Town of Caroline in 1817, and died at the home of his son, Mason Clark, on November 12, 1869.

In his obituary in the Ithaca Journal, it said "About 21 years ago, (probably 1848) Sister (wife - Judith Hathaway) Clark died, leaving him a lonely pilgrim. The loss to him was great, but sinking to the will of God, he toiled on to wait his turn."

According to his tombstone in Caroline Center, NY, Calvin Sr. died Nov.12, 1869 at age 85 yrs. 5 months. This would put his birth at June 1784.

According to the State of New York, County of Tompkins Surrogate Court, the remaining blood relatives at the time of his death were the following: Henry Clark, Richard H. Clark, Calvin Patch, (Harriet) Albertine (Patch) Sanders (Saunders), Charley Patch, Harlen Patch, Delphine (Clark) Olmstead, Anna Clark, Robert C. Clark, Sabra Clark, Franklin Curtis, Harriet Curtis, John A. Curtis, Emma (Clark) Curtis.

At the time of the 1860 Cenus, Calvin was listed as being 76, and he was living In Caroline, Tompkins County, NY with son Mason, daughter-in-law Julia, grandsons Lafayette and Hathaway, and great-grandson Mason Jenks, whose mother, Electa Clark Jenks, had died soon after his birth.

Chapter XV - The Town of Caroline

CAROLINE CENTER.--This hamlet is situated near the center of the town, which fact gives it its name. It was in that vicinity that the pioneers Augustin and Hugh BOYER, William JACKSON, Calvin CLARK, Jonathan SNOW, James LIVERMORE, Alexander STOWELL, John TAFT, Abel GATES, Ezekiel JEWETT, John GROUT, Joel RICH (brother of Capt. David RICH), Jeremiah KINNEY, Israel PAINE, and others settled and lived; many of them have descendants still living in the town and county.

Speedsville Lodge, No. 265, F. & A. M., was instituted June 11, 1851, and worked under a dispensation until June 19, 1852, when its charter was issued and thirteen members enrolled. The first W. M. was Robert H. S. HYDE; S. W., Thomas Band; J. W., Lyman KINGMAN; secretary, Leonard LEGG; treasurer, Robert E. MUIR. The present chief officers are: Nelson SLATER,W. M.; R. F.A BBEY, S. W.; G. H. NIXON, J. W.; S. H. BOYER, treasurer; H.S. AKINS, secretary; W. L. KEENY , S. D; J. I. FORD, J. D.; A. BOSTWICK, chaplain; Collins CARTRIGHT, S. M. C.; F. M. BAKER, J . M. C.; C.
