Gray, 74, formerly of Bucksport, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, at his home. Hi was born Dec. 13, 1935, in Dedham, to Walter and Helen (Black) Gray. He married Eureta Pelton, Nov. 11, 1955, in Bucksport. She died June 29, 1972. On July 21, 1973, Hi was united in marriage to Priscilla Sniffin in Old Town. Hi was employed for 42 years in the paper making industry with St. Regis Paper Co. - Champion Paper Co., Bucksport, then transferring to their Sartell, Minn., plant in 1981. While working in the Sartell, Minn., plant, Hi was a manager in the super calendars and roll wrapping division. He retired in 1998. Hi was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, where he was a member of the pastoral care committee through which he assisted with lay Eucharistic visitations and transported senior citizens to appointments. Hi also was a member of St. John's Movers, the Cursillo community, delivered Meals on Wheels and served as an usher and greeter. He was a former member of Dedham United Church of Christ, North Bucksport Methodist Church and St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Bucksport. Hi was a member of Felicity Lodge No. 19 AF & AM, Bucksport; King Solomon's Council No. 1, Verona Island; Anah Shrine, Bangor; and a past patron of Riverside Chapter Order of Eastern Star, Orland. He also served in the Air National Guard in Bangor. Survivors include his wife, Priscilla Gray of Rice, Minn.; daughters and sons, Rae Jean and Timothy Craig of Bucksport, Earl Warren Gray and Koert DuBois of Fort Collins, Colo., Lisa G. and Michael Coonan of Mendota Heights, Minn., and Nathaniel J. and Julie Gray of Sartell, Minn.; brothers and sisters, Ward Gray of Dedham, Walter Gray of Dedham, Laura Horr of Dedham, and Irene Gray of Dedham; seven grandchildren, Lucas, David and Jennifer Craig of Bucksport, Grace and Bridget Coonan of Mendota Heights, Minn., and Nathaniel L. and Aaron Gray of Sartell, Minn.; and one great-granddaughter, Autumn J. Craig. He was predeceased by his parents; and first wife, Eureta. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at St. John's Episcopal Church, St. Cloud, Minn. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Interment will be at St. John's Episcopal Church Columbarium. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, Minn. Her sister's obituary: DEDHAM - Irene Gray, 82, died March 19, 2014 at her home with her family by her side. She was born Nov. 14, 1931, in Dedham, daughter of Walter H. and Helen (Black) Gray. She graduated from Brewer High School in 1948. Irene was employed for fifty years at United Way of Eastern Maine, retiring in 1998. She was a longtime member and organist of the Dedham Congregational Church, and was master of Victor Grange of Orland. Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Foster; a son, Wayne and his wife, Joan of Dedham; daughter-in-law, Marilyn "Pokey" Gray of Orrington; grandson, Shawn Gray and his fianc?ee, Kim Tripp of Bangor; two granddaughters, Brandy-Jo Ellis and her husband, James of Brewer, Amanda "Mandy" Savoy and husband, Jason of Milford; one great-granddaughter, Michela Malchiodi of Brewer; two brothers, Walter "Sonny" Gray of Dedham, Ward Gray of Orrington; a sister, Laura Horr of Dedham. Irene was predeceased by her son, Steve Gray and a brother, Warren "Hi" Gray. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5-7 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2014 at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 South Main St., Brewer, where a funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014. The family will greet friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 3rd at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton, with funeral services at 11:00. Pauline will lie in state after 10:00 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Obituary: HOLTON ? Pauline M. Horr, 98, of Holton, died Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the Medicalodges Jackson County nursing home in Holton. She was born July 6, 1912 at Perry, the daughter of Oscar and Maude Killinger Ross. Pauline and her husband ran the theatre in Oskaloosa. She also cooked in various restaurants including the New York Grill, and the Hamburger Inn, ("The Dump") in Holton. She married Gilbert K. Horr on November 5, 1934 at Manhattan. He died January 12, 1975. Pauline was preceded in death by three sons, Gerald Horr, Robert Horr and Donald Horr and two brothers, Ira Ross and Johnny Ross. Survivors include her daughters-in-law, Shirley Horr, Holton and Rowena Horr, Topeka; one brother, Roy Ross, Independence, Missouri; two sisters, Irene Schultz, Leavenworth and Virginia Reiling, Oskaloosa; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. The family will greet friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 3rd at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton, with funeral services at 11:00. Burial will follow in the Holton Cemetery. Ross Published: TheTopeka Capital-Journal , May 27, 1999 PERRY -- Ira W. Ross, 81, Perry, died Tuesday, May 25, 1999, at a Topeka hospital. Mr. Ross was a truck driver for the Johnnie Ross Trucking Co.. He had hauled livestock and grain for area farmers for many years before his brother, who owned the company, died in 1978. He later was a truck driver for the Jefferson County Road Department from 1979 until he retired in 1985. He served in the Army during World War II. He was born Oct. 31, 1917, at Rossville, the son of Oscar V. and Maude R. Killinger Ross. He had lived in Perry since 1946 and he attended Oskaloosa schools. Mr. Ross was an avid walker and he picked up aluminum cans as he walked. He was married to Lola M. Hiebsch on Aug. 18, 1941, at Oskaloosa. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Judy Sanford, Lawrence; a son, Tom Ross, Perry; three sisters, Pauline Horr, Holton, Irene Schultz, Leavenworth, and Virginia Reiling, Oskaloosa; a brother, Roy Ross, Independence, Mo.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Barnett Funeral Home in Oskaloosa. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Perry. They had 3 children, Carol, Betty & Wayne. He was a dairy serviceman for Wirthmore Feeds for many years and was farm manager of the University's Highmoor Farm in Monmouth. He & Frances operated a dairy farm in Farmington Falls from 1949-1984, he was also a fireman/watchman at Forster Mfg. in East Wilton. He served several years as a selectman in Farmington and was instrumental in starting the Franklin County Chapter of the Maine Farm Bureau. Marion was born on May 25, 1908, in Lyndon, Vt., the elder daughter of the late Jane (Aldrich) and Charles Murphy. She was schooled in Lyndon and graduated from Lyndon Institute with the class of 1925. After graduation she was hired by Bell Telephone Company in Boston. She returned to St. Johnsbury where she met and married Edward Wright Hoar on Jan. 11, 1930. Marion was a homemaker while her family was growing up. She was well known for her artistry in handcrafts, such as sewing, knitting, crocheting, rug making and quilting, having appeared on WCAX Channel 3 displaying her work. In 1952, she and her husband opened their store on Railroad Street called Modern Home Appliances, which they later moved to Eastern Avenue and renamed the store Modern Home Gift Shop. After Mr. Hoar's death in 1991, Marion moved to Burlington to be nearer family. She resided there until 2006 when she came to the Health and Rehab Center in St. Johnsbury. Marion was predeceased by her husband, Edward, her sister Irene Hutchins, two sons-in-law, Allan Merritt Sr. and David J. Bixby. Surviving are four children, Beverly Merritt of Rutland, Betty McCarthy and husband James of Ocala, Fla., Marilyn Bixby of Shelburne and William Hoar and wife Ila of Barnet; her 10 grandchildren, Allan Merritt and wife Sarah of Shelburne; William Merritt, Steve Merritt and wife Julie, and Lynn Merritt, all of Rutland, James Merritt and wife Diana of Pittsford, James McCarty and Brian McCarthy of Wappingers Falls, N.Y.; Karen Procida and husband Richard of Whitesboro, N.Y., Sean Hoar of Montpelier, Kelly Greaves and husband Paul of Walden; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at Sayles Funeral Home this Sunday at 1 p.m. Burial will be at a later date at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
