Ogilvie, of Lakeside Drive, Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Monday, July 2, 2012, at the age of 90. Born in Moncton, on May 13, 1922, she was the daughter of the late George and Nina B. (Steeves) Hoar. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Andrews United Church, Miramichi. She was a former church custodian and assisted her husband, Cal, with his business, prior to retirement. She is survived by her husband, Calvin Ogilvie; two daughters, Heather Matchett, of Miramichi and Holly Jones (Peter), of Quispamsis; four grandchildren, Justin, Bryan, Debbie, Brandon. She was predeceased by two brothers, Gerald and Dr. William Hoar. By request, there was no visitation at the funeral home. A public funeral service was held from St. Andrews United Church, Miramichi, on Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at 1 pm, conducted by Rev. Charlene Maguire MacKnight, assisted by Rev. Dale Greer. Music for the service was provided by David Mann and the choir of St. Andrews Church. The hymns were "Precious Lord, Take My Hand" and "The Old Rugged Cross". A solo was offered by Rev. Dale Greer, "I'd Rather Have Jesus", accompanied by Mrs. Barbara Somers. Special family memories were offered by daughter, Holly Jones. The scriptures were read by Rev. Dale Greer and Anna Dalley. The poem, "Crossing The Bar" was read by granddaughter Debbie Jones. The pallbearers were Jack Upham, Doug Gilliland, Johnathen Estey, Robert Dalley, Rheal Chiasson, Brian Hatch. Following a reception with the family, the interment was in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens, in Moncton. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Salvation Army, or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
