    Harold R. Horr, 81, of Waynesburg, formerly of West Alexander, died at 4:50 a.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2012, in Southwest Regional Medical Center, Waynesburg, after being in failing health for the past year.
    He was born in West Finley Township, Washington County, a son of the late Henry Glenn and Helen Margaret Mahan Horr.

    Mr. Horr had resided in the West Alexander area for several years, Graysville and West Finley Township prior to moving to the Waynesburg area in 2005.
    He was a former member of Grace Bible Church in West Middletown and was a member and trustee of Maranantha Baptist Church in Holbrook at the time of his death.
    Mr. Horr was a veteran of the Korean War. He served with the U.S. Army as a private first class and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
    He was formerly employed as a meter reader and service technician with Columbia Gas in New Brighton for 19 years prior to retiring in 1969, a bus driver for Grace Bible Christian School and was a self-employed dairy farmer in West Alexander until 1983.
    Mr. Horr was a former member of Big Knob Grange in Beaver County and was an avid horseman and member of the Percheron Horse Association in Fredericktown, Ohio.
    He enjoyed country music and square dancing.
    On June 20, 1952, he married Colleen Ramona Dunn, who died in June 1996.
    Surviving from this marriage are his children, Sandy, wife of Billy Reece of Coburn, Va., Steven, husband of Mary Horr of West Alexander, Dennis, husband of Elaine Horr of Goshen, Ohio, and Greg, husband of Wendy Horr of Hemet, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Paul Horr of Holbrook, Thomas, husband of Linda Horr of St. Helen's, Mich., W. Laverne, husband of Rosella Horr of Freedom, and George, husband of Janet Horr of Masontown; and several nieces and nephews.
    On April 27, 1997, he married Maxine Lee Parson Hewitt, who survives, along with her children, Daunice, wife of Ronald Lohr of Waynesburg, James, wife of Debbie Hewitt of Graysville and Jeff Hewitt of Waynesburg; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
    Deceased, in addition to his parents and first wife, are a daughter, Amy Horr; three great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Trevor and Levi Horr; and a sister, Karen Young.

    Forrest A. Dunn, 75, of Cameron, died Friday, October 12, 2001, at Reynolds Memorial Hospital. He was born January 31, 1926, in Cameron, the son of the late Raymond and Marie Bungard Dunn. He was a retired self-employed dry waller, a member of the Wolfe Run Baptist Church and a former member of the Civitans, Moundsville and the Viola Sportsman Club. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Larry; and a sister, Colleen Horr.

    Paul Roger Dunn, 64, of Follansbee, WV, died Tuesday, October 30, 2001, in Weirton Medical Center. He was born September 9, 1937, in Cameron, the son of the late Raymond and Marie Bungard Dunn. He was a former employee of Ames Department Store, Falls Church, VA, and a member of Ohio Valley Baptist Church, Valley Grove, West Virginia He was preceeded in death by his parents; a brother, Forest Dunn; a sister, Colleen Horr; two grandsons; a nephew; a neice.
    Surviving are his wife Peggy Schupbach Dunn; a daughter, Brenda Sue Dunn of Moundsville; three stepchildren, Debbie Cooper of Burgettstown, PA, Carl Edward Clouser (Tanalea), of Washington, PA, and Mary E.     Gerald E. Mahan, 87, of Washington, died at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2011, in Southmont of Presbyterian SeniorCare in Washington, after being in failing health for the past few months.
    Mr. Mahan was born June 9, 1924, in West Finley, a son of the late Thomas Albert and Flora Bell Allison Mahan.
    He had resided in Washington since 1954.
    Mr. Mahan was a former member of Broad Street Baptist Church and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, both of Washington, and had served on the deacon boards of both churches for several years.
    He was a member of Merry Hearts Group of Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed all the benefits of his church family.
    Mr. Mahan enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling as long as his health permitted.
    He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Army Air Forces as a corporal in the Headquarters 8th Army Air Force Base Unit, and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, World War II Victory Medal and the American Campaign Medal.
    Mr. Mahan was employed by the former Columbia Gas Transmission Corp. for 35 years, where he retired as a welding instructor in 1986.
    On August 12, 1944, he married Evelyn Jean Stollar, who died July 22, 2010.
    Surviving are a son, Robert E. Mahan Sr., husband of Darlene Mahan of Washington; two grandchildren, Amy Marie Ross and Robert E. Mahan Jr.; and two great-grandchildren, Jena Marie and Jesse E. Ross.
    Deceased, in addition to his parents and wife, are four brothers, Albert, Harvey, Burdett and Kenneth Mahan; three sisters, Beatrice Travis, Helen Horr and Vernelle Dinsmore; three half sisters, Uta Gittings, Pearl Kimble and Laura Wade; and two half brothers, Paul and Willard Mahan.
    Mr. Mahan was the last of his immediate family.
    Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 21, with Pastor Fred W. McCloskey officiating. Interment will follow in West Finley Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 1701 Ridgewood Drive, Washington, PA 15301.
