Katherine Cunningham
1903-2004
AGAWAM- Katherine Monica (Hoar) Cunningham, 101, died on July 27, 2004 at Heritage Hall West in Agawam. Born in New Britain, CT she was the daughter of the late James B. and Mary M. (McMahon) Hoar and was a longtime resident of Springfield. She was a member of the East Springfield Golden Agers, and was a communicant of St. Michael's Church in East Longmeadow. Katherine was predeceased by her husband, Richard M. Cunningham in 1967, and by her two sons, Richard M. Cunningham in 2000 and John J. Cunningham in 1997. She is survived by her two daughters, Patricia M. Dunn and her husband Joseph of Nellysford, VA, and Janet W. Koval of Clifton Park, NY; her sister, Mary LaFleur formerly of Springfield, MA; twelve grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Heritage Hall-West for the extraordinary care that was given to Katherine. A funeral will be held on Friday from the Hafey East Longmeadow Chapels, 120 Shaker Road, with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael's Church in East Longmeadow at 11:30 am.
