      Lorraine Louise 'Joyce' Hoard

Joyce Hoard, beloved wife of Douglas Hoard, passed away February 10, 2009 at the Rockyview Hospital at the age of 82 years.
As well as her husband Doug, Joyce will be dearly missed by their four children Linda Hoard, Kevin Hoard (Ellen), all of Calgary, Daryl Hoard (Sarita) of Vernon, British Columbia; and Lori Sacroug (Roland) of High River, Alberta; ten grandchildren Barry (Lori), Tammy (Jeff), Scott, Shannon (Matt), Tina, Crystal (Kyle), Cindy (Mike), Chad, Chandra and Dylan; two grandchildren Lillian and Gracelyn; two sisters Jean Cross of Fisk, Saskatchewan and Betty Jo Forest of Kamloops, British Columbia; and many other relatives and friends.
Joyce was predeceased by her son Dwayne Hoard in 1985, and six siblings Claude, Evelyn, Yvonne, Sterling, Bud and Marshall.
Joyce was one of nine children born to the Chambers family in Fiske, Saskatchewan. After completing high school, she married her sweetheart Douglas Hoard and moved to Kindersley, Saskatchewan where they raised their family. In 1973, they moved to Calgary where they have resided since.
Joyce was a self taught pianist and has carried her love of music throughout her life. She and Doug took the great pride as property managers during their retirement years.
She loved people, was always caring, had a great sense of humour and enjoyed playing Bingo. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker and will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
