Obituary:
Maine Sunday Telegram (Portland, ME) - February 1, 1998
Deceased Name: ANNIE H. BRIGHAM
Annie H. Brigham, 95, of South Waterboro Road died Friday at a Portland nursing home after a long illness.
She was born on Long Island, a daughter of Levi C. and Annie (Blake) Horr, and attended island schools.
In her youth, Mrs. Brigham worked at a candy factory on Pearl Street in Portland, at Twitchell and Chapman's on Commercial Street, and as a waitress at the Kennebunkport Inn and Mac's Diner in Portland.
According to her family, Mrs. Brigham often mentioned how she enjoyed ice skating on Long Island in her youth and spending time with her sister, Phyllis E. Mechlosky, roller-skating and dancing.
Prior to living with her niece, Dolores L. Davis of Lyman, she resided for over 20 years on Pembroke Street in Portland.
Surviving are a son, Donald W. Brigham of Woburn, Mass.; her sister of Falmouth; a stepson, Harold Brigham of Windham; two stepdaughters, Valeria De-Maranville of Massachusetts and Katherine Campbell of Falmouth; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Hay and Peabody Funeral Home, 749 Congress St., Portland, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will follow in Forest City Cemetery in South Portland.
