    • [[HOAR, Charles "Charlie" W. 92 years. Passed away, surrounded by his family on April 17, 2006 at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Corinne (nee Dent) (2001). Loving father of Adele and husband Dale Inverarity of Lakeshore, Joan and husband Don Gray of Belle River, Dorothy and husband Gerald "Jake" Cartier of Windsor, Steve and wife Marianne Dent of Windsor. Dear grandpa to Randy, Darrin, Katie, Debbie, Kevin, Deanna, Sarah and Kelly. Dear great grandpa to Jonathan, Daniel, Matthew, Chloe, Kody, Matthew, Dale and William. Dear brother to Fred Hoar of Quebec and Amy Mason of Burlington. Predeceased by his sister Helen Wilson. Charlie retired from the Canadian Press (Windsor Star) after 51 years of service. He was an avid golfer and a lifelong member of Roseland Golf and Curling Club. A special thank you to the Dr.'s, nurses and staff (3rd Floor) at Richmond Terrace Nursing Home, Amherstburg for the care and compassion that was given to Charlie while he was a resident there. Visitation will be held at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 895 Ouellette Avenue (254-3223) on Wednesday, April 19, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Archdeacon Ronald Matthewman officiating. Cremation to follow. Charlie's cremated remains will be placed in a niche at Victoria Memorial Gardens, next to Corinne at a later date.
