- H&H24; Baptised at St Peter's Church, Cork, Ireland, 18 May 1751. A soldier in +
13th Regiment of Light Dragoons, Cornet(1770), Lieut(1774), Captain(1778), and +
Captain in North Cork County Militia. Engaged in all encounters with rebels in +
1798 in Wexford. J.P. for Leitrim and Roscommon, and for Cork. Deputy Governor +
of Cork, 1807. Died at Cullen's Wood (his son-in-law Robert Newenham's home) +
and is buried with his wife in the Moravian Burial Ground, nr Dublin. He had 19 +
children of whom many died young and are not recorded. He spent over ?20000 +
while in the 13th Light Dragoons and 'ruined the property'.
