Louise E. Anderson

Louise Elizabeth Anderson, 76, of Monroe City, died at 10:25 a.m. Sept. 28, 1998, at Monroe City Manor Care Center.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Monroe City. Father Bill Flanagan will officiate. Burial will be at St. Jude Cemetery in Monroe City.
Miss Anderson was born July 3, 1922, in Monroe City to Charles Ray and Ruth Elizabeth Hoar Anderson.
Survivors include one brother, Charles S. Anderson of Hunnewell; two nephews, Lee Anderson of Monroe City and Lynn Anderson of Hannibal; one stepnephew, Jim Jones of Marceline; and three nieces, Linda Beard of Hannibal, Ruth Ann Shaver of Monroe City and Mary Kay Brandt of St. Charles.
Miss Anderson was office manager for her family in the Anderson Garage from 1946 until her 1981 retirement.
Miss Anderson was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where she served as organist for many years.
She was a graduate of Holy Rosary Catholic School and Chillicothe Business College.
Miss Anderson was an active volunteer for Monroe City Manor Care Center. She was a board member and secretary of the Monroe City Workshop.
As an OATS volunteer, she received the volunteer award in 1995. She also served as secretary and was currently treasurer of the OATS organization.
She enjoyed traveling with the OATS and UMB senior programs.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Garner Funeral Chapel in Monroe City, with a parish Scripture service at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorials may be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the OATS organization or the Monroe City Sheltered Workshop.
Pallbearers will be Lee Anderson, Lynn Anderson, Matt Anderson, Nick Anderson, Bob Beard, Jim Jones, Buz Shaver and Chip Brandt.
