Doreen Hoar, 83
Doreen Helene Hoar died at her home Saturday.
She was born in Butte on Aug. 22, 1918, to John and Emma (Sundberg) Brandl.
Doreen's mother died when she was a young girl. Her father remarried, and she was raised by her father and step mother Martha (Korn) Brandl.
She attended local schools, graduating from Butte High School and the Butte Business College.
She married Alvin Hoar in Butte on Jan. 30, 1948, and together she and Al established Toljan Electric in 1964. She and Al worked together in the business until they retired in 1988.
She was a member of the Butte Elks Does Drove No. 239.
She was preceded in death by her husband Al in 1997 and infant son Robert Jack Hoar.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Ron and Shelley Hoar of Wise River; daughter Lynn Facincani of Butte; grandchildren Debbie and Ron Chism, Kenny and Amy Hoar, Tina and Greg Blunt, Dean and Tonya Plute, Corey and Jennifer Plute, and Cari and Ryan Jonart; greatgrandchildren Brett Rundle, John and Ashleigh Plute, Ashley Mrkish Plute and Ryley Jonart; brother Jack Brandl of Butte; sister and brother-in-law Rosemarie and James Kunst of Denver; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her remains have been cremated in Butte.
Memorial services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in WayrynenRichards Funeral Home with the Pastor Phil Wold officiating.
Memorials: Highlands Hospice or a charity of the donor's choice.
