Deceased Name: Patricia JoAnne Mataele
In loving memory of Patricia JoAnne Mataele, 58, who passed away on Nov. 5, 1997 after a heroic seven year battle against cancer.
She was born on Nov. 11, 1938 in Fond du Lac, WI to the late Frederick C. Horr and Ruth Glasow Horr.
She is survived by her son, Ikuna Mataele; daughter and son-in-law, Maile and Sione
Tavake; four grandsons, Keagan and Chandler Mataele; Tanginoa and Ikuna Tavake; sister and brother-in-law, Fritzi and Gary Mevis and former husband Victor "Malo" Mataele.
She was a beautiful, humorous woman who lived to make others happy and laugh. Throughout her life and its many challenges, she never complained, but looked at the bright side. Her humor was her saving grace and with that in mind, Patti always said, "Give me chocolate or give me death," ....Patti ran out of chocolate.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 14 from 7-9 p.m. at the Draper 14th Ward Chapel, 420 E. Stokes Ave. (13600 So.) Burial services will be held Sat., November 15, 10 a.m. Draper City Cemetery, 12441 So. 900 East. For more info please call (801)523-8715.
