Mishio, 85, of Washington Avenue died Saturday at a Portland nursing home. She was born in Machias, a daughter of Clifford and Mildred Hoar Foss, and attended Portland schools. Mrs. Mishio was a housekeeper and helped to raise the children of the Chabeau and Skillings families of South Portland. She was active in the Foster Grandparents Association before she became ill and attended Holy Cross Church in South Portland. Her husband, Archie Mishio, died in 1965. A son, Donald, died in 1951. Surviving are three sons, Clifford Mishio of Utah, Ronald Mishio of Portland and Herbert Stinson of Portland; two daughters, Virginia Macomber and Elaine Tucker, both of Portland; a brother, Clifford Foss of Kansas City, Mo.; 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Calvary Cemetery, South Portland. Arrangements are by Hay & Peabody, Portland.
