Wells, 81 of 113 E. Cayuga St., Oswego died Tuesday evening in a Utica Hospital following a long illness. He was born in Minetto and was a life resident of the area. He was a painter employed at the former Shade Cloth Co. in Minetto prior to his illness. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mabel Horr Wells; four daughters, Mrs. Ethel Meeker, Mrs. Harold Palkey, Mrs. Lillian Murray and Miss Doris I. Wells of Oswego; two sons, Richard M. Wells, Oswego and Edwin J. Wells of Phoenix; a sister, Mrs. Florence Dooper of Phoenix; 15 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted last Friday at 2 p.m. in the Dain Funeral Home in Oswego. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery, Oswego.
