Miss Josephine Hoar of New York, who on Oct. 19th created a sensation at the New Saulpaugh,- where she was stopping, by showing signs of insanity, on Wednesday was taken to Lawrence, Mass., by her sister, Mrs. Joseph Belalr. Two state troopers and Officer Hines placed her in charge of Sheriff Pierce, where she remained until called for by her sister. Dr. W. M. Rapp, village health officer, kept the wires busy in endeavoring to locate Miss Hoar's relatives and the Public Welfare'^ Department of New York, which organization "could not be satisfied a s to her identity a t t he addresses given, and Dr. Rapp did not care to have her sent to Poughkeepsie a s a county charge, it being evident that she did not belong to this locality. Mrs. Beiair's coming, cleared the entire situation, and Miss Hoar will be properly cared for.
