It was not immediatley fatal and he was found reaching for the telephone after he had crawled almost to it. He shot himself in his detached garage and his last wife, Peggy, found him. His children by Teresa were Robert Leland and Richard ( Ricky) Lee. Both of these boys had their last names legally changed to Bishop after Teresa married Robert Bishop. He also had a daughter or step-daughter who lived with Peggy and him named Pamela who was about 13 when he died.
