She moved shortly thereafter to Farmington with her parents and lived on Lord's Hill (the Hammond Road). Following the death of her Mother, the family moved to Maple Avenue. She attended Farmington schools, graduating from Farmington High School. She married W. Damon Hoar in 1934 and in 1949 they settled into dairy farming on the Falls Road. She worked for many years as a sales clerk at Reny's Department Store until her retirement. She was an active member of the Farmington Falls Union Baptist Church, and the Wakefield Philathia Class of Farmington Falls. She taught Sunday School and Bible School for many years. She was the Mother of three children: Carol, Betty & Wayne. She died October 29, 2003 at Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine.
