Susan I. Hoar, 84. Funeral services for Susan I. Hoar, 84, of Levering, will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Stone Funeral Home in Petoskey. Rev. Larry Brumfield of the Levering United Methodist Church will officiate and interment will be in the Carp Lake Cemetery. Mrs. Hoar died Mar. 29, at Beverly Manor Convalescent Center in Petoskey. The former Susan I. Johnson was born Sept. 19, 1894 in Gooderham, Ontario. She moved to Bliss Township with her parents in 1900 and attended schools there. On Nov. 25, 1913, she married Levi J. Hoar in Levering. The couple made their home in Levering and Mr. Hoar preceded her in death on July 30, 1957. Mrs. Hoar is survived by one son, Alvie Hoar of Levering, two grandsons; several nieces and nephews. The body is at the Stone Funeral Home where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday. The family suggests anyone wishing to honor the memory of Mrs. Hoar, may do so by contributing in her name to the memorial fund at the Levering United Methodist Church.
