      Obituary:
      Wilfred R. Hoar of Federal Way died of a stroke Sept. 19, 2004, at Harborview Hospital in Seattle. He was 80.
      Born July 2, 1924, in Biddeford, Maine, he served in the Army as a radio operator and married Irene LaCombe on Aug. 30, 1946. He lived in the Federal Way area for 30 years.
      Mr. Hoar retired in 1982 as a quality assurance manager at The Boeing Co. He received several medals in the Army and enjoyed woodworking.
      He is survived by his wife, Irene E. Hoar of Federal Way; sons, Randolph Hoar of California and Keith Hoar of Yelm; daughter, Joyce Nupcharan of Tacoma; brothers, James Hughes of Glens Falls, N.Y., and Ralph Hoar of Falmouth, Mass.; and six grandchildren.
