Laying aside his work, as he supposed, for a short time, he betook himself to his blanket. Becoming rapidly worse, an ambulance was called, and Chester was helped therein, apologizing to the owners of the boots for the failure, saying, as he started for the hospital: 'Boys, keep a stiff upper lip. I'll be after you in a few days, and then I'll finish them boots.' He did not leave that fated hospital, till he left it in his coffin, bound for the land of his nativity. | Hoard, (Possible Son) Chester (I48614)

Bridget Shaw against Ogden Shaw was the title of a case in which Justice Hiscock took evidence. The Shaws were married on June 10th, 1870, and lived in unru&ed contentment until three years ago. Then the clouds began to gather and soon there was a storm. It appears to have precipitated by Shaw's fondness for one Doll Lewis, a dashing widow, who livos^n Mulberry street. Bridget avers in her complaint that Ogden has, since the separation, been living openly with Mrs. Lewis ana has taken the name of his new companion. A witness was sworn to prove that Shaw .was living with Mrs. Lewis. The witness had known the defendant when he was called Shaw and she.positively Identified him as the husband of the plaintiff. Shaw put in no answer to tho complaint and the wife will probably have no trouble in securing a decree. The parties have two adult children. Baldwin, Kennedy & Magee appeared for Mrs. Shaw.
