GEDMatch

GEDMatch is a service started by Jim Rogers of RogersDNA: an ad-hoc group and sister surname study to ours, and his coder-helper John Olson. Initially provided to store and compare GEDCom family trees, it was expanded to support Autosomal DNA test matching. It is the original service to support all the autosomal test result files from all the different test companies and provide comparisons between them. Now MyHeritage and others see doing this also. Sites like this are allowing any relative from any DNA test company to find other relatives from any other test company. It does require you explicitly upload your DNA test result file. Beside supporting links between DNA test results and genealogical trees uploaded there, they now support direct links back and forth with the one-tree WikiTree.
