      Obituary:
      Evelyn I. Huntington, 94, of North Platte passed away Oct. 13, 2007, at Centennial Park Retirement Village.
      She was born June 23, 1913, at Stromsburg to Roy and Ellen Ostlund Branting. She moved to North Platte with her family in 1917 and attended Pleasant View school and later graduated from North Platte High School in 1932.
      She married John Riddle on April 1, 1944. She was employed by Northwestern Bell for more than 30 years, retiring in 1965. Mr. Riddle preceded her in death on May 10, 1970. She married Lyman Huntington on June 23, 1972.
      She was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Signet Chapter No. 55 Order of the Eastern Star, Social Order of Beauceant, and the Telephone Pioneers.
      Survivors include stepson Gale (Mary Ann) Huntington of Spring Grove, Ill., and stepdaughter Pamela (Glen) Drake of Mountain Home, Ark.; brothers Harlan (Lorraine) Branting of North Platte and E.L. Branting of Denver; eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
      She was preceded in death by her husbands, her parents, brother Marvin Branting and sisters Corinne Arzt and Bernice Pappas.
      Services will be Oct. 20 at the North Platte Cemetery. Cremation was chosen. Arrangements are with Carpenter Memorial Chapel.
