      Virginia Mae Jones Walker
      Lifelong Washington resident
      Virginia Mae Jones Walker, 96, passed into her Lord's loving arms Wednesday, March 12, 2014, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township.
      She was born April 13, 1917, in Washington, a daughter of the late Delbert and Hattie E. McMullen Jones, and was a lifelong resident of Washington.
      Mrs. Walker was a homemaker and a member of Fourth Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking and spending special times with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
      She was married to Jack H. Walker, who died February 10, 1971.
      Surviving are two sons, Ret. Lt. Col. David D. (Diana) Walker of Schertz, Texas, and Phillip R. Walker of Washington; five grandchildren, Jack Walker, Mark Walker, Tammi (George) Horr, Marc (Tammy) Walker and Michele (John) Mierzejewski; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
      Deceased are her husband, Jack; a son, Jack N. Walker; two brothers, Oscar N. (Buck) Jones and Harry H. Jones; and six sisters, Bertha Emrick, Orma L. Sample, Thelma Gshinsky, Myrtle Pilgun, Grace E. Baldwin and Ethel Jones, who died in infancy.
      Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., Wilson at East Katherine avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 18, in the funeral home with the Rev. Susan Vandekappelle officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Washington City Mission, 84 West Wheeling Street, Washington, PA, 15301, or Fourth Presbyterian Church, 1000 Jefferson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
