      Arthur P. Argus
      Arthur P. Argus, 48, of South
      Main Street, Ovid, died Sunday,
      Oct. 15, in Willard State Hospital,
      after an illness of two
      weeks.
      Mr. Argus was born in the
      Town of Urbana, the son of Mary
      (DrewJ and Jacob Argus. He
      had been employed in the Willard
      State Hospital for the last
      27 years and had been a member
      of the Ovid Village Board of
      Trustees for many years.
      He is survived by his widow,
      Mrs. Anna Argus; five sons, Phillip,
      Donald, Alton, Lawrence and
      Alfred Argus, of Ovid; a daughter,
      Miss Clara Argus, Ovid; his
      mother, Mrs. Mary Horr, of Ro
      Chester; a brother, Walter Argus,
      of Ovid; four sisters, Mrs. Laura
      Wells, Mrs. Elizabeth Alford and
      the Misses Florence and Clara
      Argus, of Rochester, and many
      relatives in this vicinity.
      Funeral services were held at
      9:30 a. m., Wednesday, in Holy
      Cross church at Ovid, the Rev.
      Thomas Stafford, officiating. Burial
      in Holy Cross cemetery.
