    Remarkable Longevity
    Died, at the residence of Mr. George S. Campbell, two miles northwest of Lorah, in Pymosa township, on Saturday, September 27, 1890, in the 95th year of her age, Mrs. Wealthy Wheelock, nee Horr. She was born in Boston, Mass., August 30, 1796, and was married at Henderson, N.Y. She was the mother of eleven children, six sons and five daughters. Of the three sons and three daughters that survive, only two daughters, Mrs. Almina Wilson and Mrs. Mary Bidleman, were present at the funeral. Her husband was a soldier in the last war with England, and one of her sons died in Andersonville prison, on which account she was entitled to draw a pension while living. In early life she made a profession of religion and united with the M. E. church.
    The funeral services were conducted by Rev. M. D. Bevan, pastor of the Atlantic Baptist church, from the text "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints." A large number of friends were present, and a long procession, composed chiefly of children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, followed the remains of the affectionate mother and esteemed friend to their last resting place."

    Marcus Warren Waite, in "The Wheelock Family of Calais, VT", 1940, Driftwind Press, Montepelier, VT, has the following to say about Alberto:
    "Enlisted from Millville, JO Daviess County, ILL., in Co. H. 96th Regt. He was captured at the battle of Chattanooga on Tuesday Sept. 22, 1863, and died in Andersonville prison May 10, 1864. Buried in the National Cemetery at Andersonville, GA (Grave 992)."
