    Joseph V. Hoar. 66, a Yonkers
    resident until moving to
    Jamesburg, . N.J., 20 years
    ago, died Sunday at St. Peter's
    Hospital in New Brunswick,
    N.J., after a brief illness.
    He was an engineer for Edison
    Industries in Edison, N.J.,
    and prior to World War II was
    a member of the U.S. Maritime
    service. During the war,
    he was employed by the Army
    Transport Service that carried
    troops between Australia and
    the Pacific Islands.
    Mr. Hoar was born in Yonkers
    on March 8, 1904, to Patrick
    and Mary Boyle Hoar and
    attended local schools. On
    March 13, 1931, in South
    Hampton, England, he married
    the former Clara Leadbitter
    who survives.
    In addition to his wife, he is
    survived by two sons, Patrick
    of Pompton Plains, N.J., and
    Joseph V. Jr. of Jamesburg;
    three brothers, James A. and
    Thomas A., both of Yonkers,
    and Francis X. of Manhassett,
    L.I.; a sister, Mrs. John H.
    (Agnes) Bradley, also of
    Yonkers, and four grandchildren.
    A sister, Helen C. Hoar, died
    on Oct. 21,1960.

    Joseph married Clara Leadbitter on 13 Mar 1931 in South Hampton, England. Clara (daughter of Thomas Walter Leadbitter and Mary Elizabeth Fairchild) was born in Jan 1915 in England; died in Oct 1985 in , Taos Co, New Mexico, USA. [Group Sheet]

    JAMES Matthew John James, 6 yrs old, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on March 23, 2006. He is survived by his parents Janice and Pat James; Brother Sean; grandparents Patrick and Nancy Hoar; aunts, uncles and cousins. Matthew's family and friends will always remember his great courage, strength and humor. The visitation will be Wednesday, March 29th from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Mandarin Funeral Home, 11801 San Jose Blvd. The Rev. Daniel Cody will celebrate a mass at St. Joseph's Catholic Church (new sanctuary) on Thursday March 30th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Child Cancer Fund, www.childcancerfund.org .
