      Her sister's obituary:
      Florence A. McNett, 96, of Coldwater, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at her home. A memorial service for Florence will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the First Congregational Church in Union City with Pastor Karen Nachtigall officiating. Interment of Ashes will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Union City. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 from 3 6:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater and on Wednesday, prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 AM at the church.Florence was born October 18, 1915 in Hillsdale, MI to John & J. Aletha (Murch) Hawk. She graduated from Bronson High School and married Merle McNett on August 4, 1934 in Angola, IN. He preceded her in death on May 17, 1997.Mrs. McNett worked at the LA Darling Company in Bronson from 1933 to 1968. She then went to work for Max Larsen until 1998 and continued to serve as the trustee for his estate. Florence was a member of the First Congregational Church in Union City, a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Coldwater chapter, UCT and an honorary alumni of Howe Military School as well as the Herrick Fellow Society of Howe School. She enjoyed music, card playing and working with various philanthropic organizations.Florence is survived by her daughter Barbara (Robert) Brott of Union City, her sister Wanda Hoard of Bronson, her grandchildren Jeffrey (Teena) Brott of Sherwood, James (Laura) Brott of Sturgis, her great grandchildren Steve, Doug and Katelyn Brott. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 1 sister and 2 brothers. Memorials may be directed to the Union City First Congregational Church Kitchen Fund or the Branch Co.
