      Edmund H. Butland 1933-2004 Edmund H. Butland, 70, of Kenneth Spencer Memorial Home, formerly of Alma/Shepody, Albert Co., N.B. passed away on April 14, 2004 at the Kenneth Spencer Memorial Home after a courageous battle with Alzheimers. He was born in Alma on July 22, 1933, the son of the late Howard and Mabel (Jensen) Butland. He was a carpenter who loved his trade very much. He worked for the Department of Transportation for 16 years. He loved times spent with his family and friends. His grandchildren were very special to him. He will be missed by his many relatives and friends. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Edna (Kennie) Butland of Shepody; his devoted children, four daughters, Connie Russell (Guy) of Shepody, Bonnie Butland of West River, Alice Hoar (Darren) of Waterside, Phyllis Lyman (James) of West River; his sons, David Butland (Verna) of Cape Enrage and Kevin Butland (Elaine) of New Horton; his eight precious grandchildren, Nicholas of Cambell River, B.C., Jonathan, Brent, Amanda, Jennifer, Jeffery, Shelby and Colby all of Albert County; two sisters, Mayme Smith (Charlie) of Moncton and Frances McKinley of Riverside-Albert; five brothers, Henry Butland (Jean) of Waterside, Floyd Butland (Barbara) of Lumby, B.C., Earl Butland (Lois) of Riverside-Albert, Claude Butland (Linda) of Alma and Clark Butland (Brenda) of Alma; sisterin-law, Ethel Butland of RiversideAlbert. He will also be sadly missed by Edna's family - Shirley Peters (Ralph) of Moncton, Marie Downey of Moncton and Garnet Kennie (Karine) of Calgary, Alberta; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his two brothers, Douglas and Carl. He will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home, Hopewell Cape with visitation on Friday evening from 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, April 17, 2004 at 2pm. Interment will be held in the Waterside
