      Deceased Name: ANDREW NELSON JR., 63
      UPTON - Andrew S. Nelson Jr., 63, of 16 Fiske Ave. died yesterday in The Medical Center of Central Massachusetts - Memorial, Worcester, after a short illness.
      He leaves his wife, Helen E. (Davis) Nelson; two sons, Kevin D. Nelson of Harwinton, Conn., and Corey L. Nelson of West Upton; a daughter, Tracy A. Maynard of Milford; and three grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson observed their 39th wedding anniversary recently. He was born in East Machias, Maine, son of Andrew S. and Thursa (Hoar) Nelson, and lived here 60 years.
      He graduated from the former Upton High School.
      He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
      Mr. Nelson was a purchasing agent at Baystate Abrasives in Westboro, where he worked for 39 years. He retired in 1988.
      Mr. Nelson was a former assistant scoutmaster and troop committee member of Troop 132, Boy Scouts of America.
      Private graveside services will be held tomorrow in Maplewood Cemetery. The Rev. John McKenna will officiate. There are no calling hours. The family requests that flowers be omitted. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice. Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home, 45 Main St., is directing arrangements.
