      Deceased Name: Betty Johns HOPKINS
      Betty Johns Hopkins, 74, died Thursday, April 06, 2006 at her home surrounded by those she loved most. She was born May 29, 1931 in Atlanta to the late Paul Adkisson Johns & Marjorie Elsie Hoar Johns. Mrs. Hopkins was a graduate of the University of Georgia and taught school in Fulton County and the City of Atlanta School System. She was an active member of Faith Creek United Methodist Church. The funeral is Saturday, April 8, 2006 at 4:00PM at Faith Creek United Methodist Church with Rev. Julia Crimm & Rev. Dan McFarland officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The visitation is Friday evening at McKoon Funeral Home between 6:00 and 8:00 PM. The family respectfully asks that flowers not be sent and contributions made in her honor to either: Save the Children, 54 Wilton Rd, Westport, CT 06880 or to Vistacare Hospice, 1605 Hwy 34 E, Newnan, Ga 30265. Lamar Smith, John Davis, Steve Oswald, Dwayne Oswald, Kevin Phillips, Hank Hopkins, and Joe Kimsey will serve as pallbearers. Adam Byrd and Cpl. Jacob Byrd will serve as honorary pallbearers.
