      Astor Place died Saturday at
      Yonkers Professional Hospital
      after a brief illness.
      She was born Margaret Rita
      Hoar to Michael and Mary
      Fitzgerald Hoar of Carteret.
      N.J., and was brought to
      Yonkers as a child. She attended
      schools here and in
      June 1921, was married to
      Mr. Brown, a retired mechanic
      formerly employed by Refined
      Sugars and Syrups
      A communicant of the
      Church of the Immaculate
      Conception (St. M a n ' s ' , she is
      survived by her husband, two
      s c s . Joseph N. and Thomas
      M., both of Yonkers; a brother.
      Thomas Hoar; four sisters,
      Mrs. Edward (Anna) O'Brien,
      Mrs. John (Mary) Tansey,
      Mrs. John (Ellen) Maher and
      Mrs. George (Bessie) Mellor,
      all of Yonkers; and three
      grandchildren.
