Newspaper obituary: It was with feelings of widespread regret that the news was received there of the death of Mrs. Ruby Lewis which occurred at her home at North River, Salisbury at an early hour on Monday morning, March 5th. The late Mrs. Lewis was 80 years of age and had been in failing health for some length of time. She was a prominent member of the Methodist Church and a lady who took a keen interest and active part in all good works in the community where she spent her life, and her passing will be deeply mourned by many relatives and friends. She is survived by her husband and three daughters. The daughters are Mrs. George W. Taylor and Mrs. Acil Nichol, of North River and Mrs. Annabel Hoar of Wheaton Settlement.
