      CLINTON ? Jessie M. Merrill, 95, of Clinton, formerly of Port Orange, Fla. and Liverpool, N.Y., passed away Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010 at the Katherine Luther Home.

      She was born the daughter of the late Burton and Julia Horr Ure on July 14, 1914 in Phoenix, N.Y. She attended school in Phoenix, N.Y. She married George M. Merrill on Oct. 13, 1930 in Schroeppel, N.Y. and lived in New York until George's death in 1967. Jessie was a homemaker and also worked for the Census Bureau and the Market Research Group in Florida. She volunteered for several years for the Association for the Blind.

      Jessie is survived by four children and their spouses, Dawne Finn of Canastota, Donald and Roni Merrill of Port Orange, Fla., Dan and Sandy Merrill of Billerica, Mass., and Dennis Merrill of Raleigh, N.C.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; relatives and friends.

      A graveside service for Jessie M. Merrill of Clinton will be held in the spring at the convenience of the family. At Jessie's wishes, there will be no prior visitation. Arrangements made by Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, 35 College St., Clinton, NY, 13323.
