W. and Mary (Reice) Anderson, was born September 15, 1863 in Hamilton, Ontario, and at the age of four years removed with his parents to Detroit, where he lived for the next 26 years. He was united in marrige Nov. 20, 1882 in Detroit to Miss Sarah McCollum and to their union were born nine children, six sons, two of whom died in infancy and three daughters, their names being: Charles S. now living in Saginaw; Katherine, Mrs. James Wheeler, who died in 1913; Grace, Mrs. Roy L. Kent, Pontiac; Eugenia, Pontiac; Walter, Harold, and Archie, living at home. In the year 1891 the family removed from Detroit to this county, and have since resided in Lafayette township. Mr. Anderson passed away Nov. 29, 1917 at Saginaw, aged 54 years, 2 months and 14 days, leaving his wife and children, and one grandchild, Evelyn Kent. He also leaves two brothers, William of California, and Henry of Royal Oaks; three sisters, Mrs. Mamie Milliman and Mrs. Anna Hill, both living in Detroit, and Mrs. Carrie Davidson of Fenton. Funeral service was held at the late residence Sunday afternoon, Dec. 2 and internment made in Lafayette cemetery, Rev. Vatcher of Ithaca officiating.
