      Obituary:
      Milpitas Post (CA) - April 28, 2005
Bruce Richard Horne entered into peaceful rest April 17, 2005 in Milpitas at the age of 67.
He was born in Whittier, Calif. and grew up in the Glendale area. He enlisted with the Navy after high school and then went on to earn a degree in technical illustration. He spent the majority of his career working in the aerospace industry, a passion he enjoyed all his life.
In 1962 he met his wife Ethel in Southern California. They married and then moved to Milpitas.
Mr. Horne loved to travel, taking many family trips back east and to Lake Tahoe. He was an avid history buff and enjoyed the sciences. He was a collector of many things, from Star Trek, to a large collection of models cars, and Indian arts.
As his health declined, he still enjoyed going out to breakfast and was well known in the local restaurants.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel; daughters Darlene (Mrs. Danny Cabral), Sharon Hoffman, Linda Horne, and Susan (Mrs. Rick Galines); seven grandchildren; brothers John Horne of North Bend, Ore.; Bobby Horne of Pasco, Wash.; Donald Horne of Whittier; and Arthur Horne of Murrieta, Calif.
He was preceded in death by parents John and Loretta Hoar.
"His last years were filled with much illness and pain and though he is truly in a better place, he will be missed endlessly," his family said.
