He was born Aug. 7, 1948, in Portland, Ore., to Melvin DeWitt and Geraldine "Shirley" (Herrman) Harvey. He had his own band, Teen Angel. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Willard Bieker, Schoenchen; two sons, Gerald Harvey Jr. and wife, Bek, Green Bay, Wis., and Dustin Harvey, Rockford; a daughter, Heidi Harvey, Green Bay; a stepdaughter, Michelle Bare, Rockford; two brothers, Robert Harvey and wife, Dolores, Elma, Wash., and Robbie and Joanie Rasmussen, Seoul, Korea; three sisters, Diane Hoar and husband, Ralph, Cape Cod, Mass., Donna Mae Campbell, Hillsboro, Ore., Janell and Chad Underwood, Camden Point, Mo.; a grandson; two granddaughters; 12 nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; and a son, Mike Harvey. Services were Saturday, Sept. 2, 2006, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Schoenchen; burial in church cemetery.
