      SMITH, Vivian Gray - 84, Hopewell, Pictou Co., passed away Monday, January 26, 2004, at her home. Born in Hopewell, she was a daughter of the late Enon and Ann (MacClary) MacLean. She had been a resident of Hopewell all of her life. She was a member of St. Columba United Church, Hopewell, where she was a former member of the choir. Vivian was a life member of the Silver Light Rebekah Lodge, Hopewell. She is survived by sons, Garry William (Grace), Gairloch; Wade Douglas (Helen), Hopewell; daughters, Gail Smith, Hopewell; Pam Smith, Westville; grandchildren, Cindy, Tracey, Lisa, Vince and Kevin; eight great-grandchildren; brother, W.R.D. "Bill" MacLean, Edmonton, Alta.; sister, Beth (Foster) Hoar, Riverton. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard; sister, Lou (in infancy). Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton, where a memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Rev. Norman Marple officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery at a later date. Donations in memory of Vivian may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or St. Columba United Church, Hopewell.
