  [[ Obituary: Post-Tribune (IN) - October 16, 2002 Deceased Name: ROBERT W. MILLIKIN Passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2002. He was born in Colchester, IL on December 12, 1913. Son of Ralph and Myrtle Millikin. On June 8, 1935 he married Wanda Hoar who survives along with their children, Michael (Sonia) Millikin and Ruth Ann (Bill) Jenkins; 5 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren. Mr. Millikin was employed by US Steel in Gary from 1937 to 1976 as a Furnace Operator at the #1 Basic Oxygen Plant Steelmaker. He had always been an avid sportsman enjoying hunting, fishing, golfing and keeping up with his beloved Chicago Cubs & Chicago Bears. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters Marion, Grace & Evelyn, and 1 brother George. Services to be held on Friday, October 11, 2002 at Pine Island United Methodist Church, 5701 Pine Island Road, Bokeelia, FL. The Rev. Dr. V. Scott Harris officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to be made to the American Heart Association. The National Crematory Society in charge of final arrangements.
