Third Ave., Canton passed away at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Sunset Rehabilitation and Health Center. She was born on February 15, 1931 in Canton to Glen C. and Daisy P. (Smith) Horr. Jean married Raymond L. Nebergall on February 2, 1952 in Winona. He preceded her in death on March 3, 1998. Also preceding her in death were her parents, one brother and one sister. Surviving are a stepdaughter, Frances Jordan of Peoria; four step-granddaughters; six step great-grandchildren; three step great-great grandchildren; and three sisters, Elizabeth Newton of Canton, Mary Ulrich of Peoria and Judy (Don) Woodcock of Trivoli. Jean worked as a nurse's aide and ran Ray and Jean's Furniture Store with her husband. She was a very active member of the South Park United Methodist Church in Canton. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 7 at South Park United Methodist Church where visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. The Rev. Rick Atchley will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton. Memorials may be made to her church. Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.
