      Deceased Name: MARIE T. CULLIGAN, RETIRED BUFFALO TEACHER
      Marie T. Culligan, 81, who worked as a teacher in the Buffalo school system until retiring in 1978, died Sunday (Dec. 9, 2001) in Orchard Heights Assisted Living Facility after a lengthy illness.
      She was born Marie Hoar in Buffalo and was a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of Mount Mercy Academy and served as president of her class for four years. She also was a graduate of D'Youville College, where she served as class president for three years. In her senior year at D'Youville, she was student government president.
      She worked for 20 years as a city teacher, retiring as a business teacher from South Park High School. She was an active member of the Mount Mercy Academy and D'Youville College alumni.
      Her husband, Michael E., died in 1993.
      Survivors include seven daughters, Mary Ann Minger of Encinitas, Calif., Therese Anderson, Kathleen M. Maloney, Laurie M. Domzalski, Jean M. Egan and Mary P., all of Buffalo, and Colleen M. of Littleton, Colo.; three sons, Michael J., Paul W. and James S., all of Buffalo; a sister, Teresa Weber of Buffalo; two brothers, William Hogan and Paul Hogan, both of Buffalo; 21 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
      A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9 a.m. Thursday in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, S. 3148 Abbott Road, Orchard Park. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lackawanna.
