Howe Sr., 78, of Lancaster, PA died Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Essa Flory Hospice Center. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late James W. and Mary Smith Howe. James was married to the late Bernice Howe. He was employed as a truck driver and enjoyed riding his motorcycle for pleasure. He was a member of the Amvets Post 19. Surviving are his seven children: James D. Jr. husband of Sharon Howe, Lancaster, Eric J. husband of Adrienne Howe, Lancaster, Victoria A. Hoar, Marietta, Debra A. wife of Alan Cramer, New Providence, Karen Y. Gabriel companion of Paul Weaver, Lancaster, Rita J. wife of David R. Wanger, Lancaster, Robin L. wife of Jere Oster, Harrisburg; 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 2 great, great grandchildren; and a brother, Robert husband of Laura Howe, Lancaster. He was preceded in death by a grandson: Manny Jr. A Memorial Service will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, 414 E. King Street, Lancaster on Friday, April 1, at 11 AM. She was the wife of James D. Howe Sr. They observed their 44th anniversary March 27. Born in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late Adriana Bartholomew and Freida Angelini. She was employed as a sorter at the J. Walter Miller Brass Foundry, working for six years until her illness in December. Before that, she worked for 27 years as a press operator for the former K-D Tool Co. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, James J. Jr., husband of Sharon Howe of Lancaster, and Eric J., husband of Adrienne Howe of Lancaster; five daughters, Victoria A., wife of Benjamin G. Hoar of Holtwood, Debra A. Howe of Quarryville, Karen Y. Gabriel of Lancaster, Rita J., wife of David R. Wanger of Willow Street, and Robin L., wife of Jere Oster of Harrisburg; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Pete, Caesar and Renaldo Angelini, all of Lancaster.
